Tekken 8 Completes Launch Roster with Addition of New Fighter, Reina
After months of anticipation and character reveals, Tekken 8 has finally announced the latest addition to its launch roster: Reina. This brand-new fighter, known as “Purple Lightning” due to her lightning-quick moveset, brings a mysterious connection to the Mishima clan.
Reina, a student of the Mishima Polytechnical School, has been unveiled as the final fighter to join the 32-character roster, making the lineup complete. Bandai Namco has also confirmed that the game’s first Season of post-launch DLC will introduce four additional fighters, to be released separately each season throughout 2024, with the first arriving sometime in the spring.
According to Bandai Namco, Tekken 8 is set to launch on January 26 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. In the meantime, fans can check out Reina in action in her gameplay trailer and dive into early hands-on impressions of the game.
