Intel’s Next-Gen CPUs Leak: ASUS Zenbook 14 and Xiaomi Mi Laptop With Core Ultra 7 155H & i5-14500HX Chips Spotted

The impending arrival of Intel’s next-gen CPUs has the industry abuzz, with several Meteor Lake and Raptor Lake Refresh CPUs showcasing leaked specifications and appearing in upcoming laptops. The CPUs, which are expected to debut in mid-December, promise substantial generational improvements in performance.

One of the most highly anticipated chips, the Intel Core Ultra 7 155H “Meteor Lake” CPU, has been spotted in ASUS Zenbook 14, featuring 16 cores and 22 threads arranged in a 6 P-Core, 8 E-Core, and 2 low-power E-Core configuration. The CPU boasts a base frequency of 3.80 GHz and a boost frequency of 4.80 GHz, along with up to 24 MB of L3 cache. Additionally, Xiaomi Mi Laptop has been revealed to house the Core i5-14500HX chip within its configuration.

In addition to the Core Ultra 7 155H, a low-power variant, the Core Ultra 7 155U, has also been unveiled, with a TDP configured at 15W and offering 14 cores and 12 MB of cache. The leak showcases the chip’s underwhelming performance, with a single-core score of 1754 points and a multi-core score of 5774 points.

Furthermore, leaks have also surfaced regarding the flagship Core i9-14900HX, which features 24 cores and 32 threads with clock speeds of up to 5.6 GHz, making it the fastest-clocked laptop CPU to date. Additionally, the Intel Core i5-14500HX, part of the 14th Gen Raptor Lake Refresh, promises improved clock speeds of 2.8 GHz base and 4.9 GHz boost, marking a 200 MHz boost over its predecessor.

The Intel Meteor Lake “Core Ultra” CPUs are on track to make their debut on the 14th of December, with retail availability expected in the following week. Various laptops featuring these new CPUs have already appeared in retail listings, igniting excitement among consumers and tech enthusiasts alike.
