Fortnite Chapter 4’s Season OG Comes to an Epic Conclusion with The Big Bang Event
Epic Games has taken Fortnite Chapter 4‘s fifth season, officially named Season OG, on a trip down memory lane by reintroducing the Chapter 1 map for players to enjoy. This nostalgic season has also featured weekly updates to bring back items from Chapter 1’s various seasons, offering players a fun blast from the past.
However, the Season OG journey is set to come to an end on December 2, coinciding with the much-anticipated live event called The Big Bang.
Scheduled to kick off on Saturday, December 2, at 11 a.m. PT/2 p.m. ET, The Big Bang event is described by Epic Games as marking a new beginning for Fortnite.
Players will be able to join the event by accessing The Big Bang in the Battle Royale tile in the Discover section of Fortnite 30 minutes prior to its start, giving them time to link up with friends and prepare their in-game cosmetics. The Big Bang event will support parties of up to four players.
The event will be available across various gaming platforms, including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, and PC, ensuring that players can participate regardless of their preferred gaming device. For those who may not have access to a dedicated gaming device, the event can also be experienced using Xbox Cloud Gaming, Nvidia GeForce Now, and Amazon Luna services for cloud streaming on computers or mobile devices.
In preparation for The Big Bang, Epic Games has announced that Fortnite experiences made by Epic will be disabled starting from 12 p.m. ET on December 2. However, creator-made experiences will remain enabled until the downtime for Fortnite v28.00 begins at 11:30 p.m. ET.
