World of Warcraft fans were treated to exciting news at Blizzcon as Warcraft’s executive creative director, Chris Metzen, unveiled The Worldsoul Saga. This upcoming story event will not only bring one new expansion to the game, but three more!
Metzen disclosed some details about the three expansions, which will be released over the next few years. However, he also mentioned that Blizzard is exploring new ways to deliver these expansions to players, though specifics were not shared just yet.
The first expansion in The Worldsoul Saga is World of Warcraft: The War Within. In this expansion, players will descend into the heart of Azeroth and interact with the Earthen and Nerubians. They will be tasked with defeating the forces of evil in classic World of Warcraft style.
The second chapter of The Worldsoul Saga is World of Warcraft: Midnight. In this expansion, players will return to Quel’Thalas to prevent the forces of the void from darkening the Sunwell. They will unite the scattered Elven tribe and engage in an epic battle against the shadows.
The final part of The Worldsoul Saga is World of Warcraft: The Last Titan. Players will once again venture into the old world, heading to Northrend to witness the return of the titans of Azeroth. Metzen teased that players will uncover a vast conspiracy surrounding the titans.
Metzen, who recently took on the role of Warcraft’s executive creative director, has been deeply involved in shaping the Warcraft universe. After retiring in 2016, he returned to Blizzard in 2022 in an advisory capacity.
This announcement has generated immense excitement among fans at Blizzcon 2023, as they eagerly anticipate the release of the 10th, 11th, and 12th expansions for World of Warcraft.
